About this publication
A buyer's guide to AI teammates and AI employees for business, written for the managers who will have to run them.
Searches for "AI teammates" return as much about video games as about work. This publication covers only the business meaning: AI employees that take on a role in a company, answer its email and phones and work on its records. It compares the products sold under that name on the evidence their makers and third parties publish.
Who it is for
Owners, operations leads, finance and customer-service managers at established companies who are deciding whether to hand part of a role to an AI teammate, and which product to trust with it. We assume readers know their own queues and customers far better than any vendor does.
How it is made
Every profile is built from the vendor's own pages, its published customer results and reputable third-party reporting. Each fact carries a numbered source with the date we read it. Every product is assessed against the same seven criteria, which are set out on the methodology page with the situation the ranking is written for.
We review the main guide at least once a quarter, and sooner when a vendor changes its prices or product. Each page shows its last update and keeps a short log of changes.
Ownership
OpenLazarus, the company that makes one of the eight products reviewed here, owns this publication. For that reason the ranking frame is stated in full on the methodology page, OpenLazarus is held to the same criteria and sourcing rules as every other product, and its limits are listed as plainly as theirs.
Corrections
If a fact is wrong or a ranking seems unfair, contact the editors with the source. Verified errors are corrected and noted on the page.
